Ukiyo is the Japanese word for floating world. The concept is inspired from the Japanese culture of listening bars - venues with high-end audio equipment that play carefully-chosen vinyl records – A phenomenon that first sprung up in Japan back in the 1950s.
It’s identity is a reference to Japanese simplicity accompanied by black and white illustrations.

Creative direction for Ukiyo photoshoot - the general mood was guided to be a raw and unpretentious with a sense of movement and sound to capture the vibe.
Visual identity for Ukiyo consists of detailed illustrations of elements you find around the place. Drink photography has a surreal approach to communicate the “floating world”.
